'Dream 55' is a collection of 55 mixed media works on paper which represent the infinite variations of the brain. Each piece is unique and has its own intricacies, beauty and strengths. They are textured to symbolise the multi-faceted complexity that we humans possess, and the series depicts the fluidity of change within each of us. We are all diverse beings, and this collection is representative of any and all differences and the true acceptance of this. 

The work is a dream, and it strives for a world where concepts and classification around identity and labels do not occur, and that we coexist with a peace and harmony where difference is the norm. Policies, reasonable adjustments and procedures are not needed, as good practice is recognised all around, and categorisation no longer exists. 

These concepts of openness, respect and tolerance to all beings are not new, and we’ve been hearing these messages for millennia, yet my hope is that the abstract outcome of these pieces enables the viewer to see the message in another form. The monochromatic nature of the work simplifies the message further, and like humanity, each piece is connected and does not exist in isolation. 

Dream 55 is a vision for our times.
